[Webinar 20 April 2021] Updating the ASEAN Power Grid for Increased Renewables

Developing interconnected grid systems and increasing power trade across southeast Asia will facilitate an increase in the uptake of renewable energy according to the results of the newest ASEAN Interconnection Masterplan (AIMS) III study. This webinar looks at the results of the completed first phase of AIMS III, which includes an RE resource assessment, a capacity expansion plan, production cost modeling to determine the amount of variable renewable energy (VRE) the ASEAN power system can absorb, and a socio-economic-environmental impact analysis.

The webinar was hosted by the SE Asia EDGE Hub in partnership with USAID Clean Power Asia, ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and HAPUA.
